在佛教裝飾中,動物題材的圖案極為豐富,除了前文述及的與佛教教義有直接關聯的動物(如龍、獅、金翅鳥、象、鹿等)外,還有大量的動物圖案作為石窟裝飾的點綴、bubaihehuanjingfenweidehongtuo,youdeshifenjingcai,qiyishushuipingyuqitazhuangshizhutiyouqishifojiaojiaoyixuanchuandezhutizhuangshixiangbi,bingbuxunse,shenzhigengshengdong,gengfuyishuxing。zaizhexiedongwuticaizhong,juedabufenshixianshishenghuozhongdedongwu,youyuzhexiedongwubingbujuyouteshuxingdexiangzhengyiyi,zhishizuoweiziranzhongdeyizhongshenglingercunzai,yinciqizaoxingzuinengbiaoxiandongwutianxing。zoushoudaduobeihuazaishanlinyedizhong,zhenqinduohuazaigonglanliushuibianhuofeixiangzaicanlandekaiji,weishikuzengtianletedingdeqifen。
莫高窟第285窟ku西xi魏wei時shi期qi壁bi畫hua中zhong的de動dong物wu裝zhuang飾shi,是shi早zao期qi佛fo教jiao裝zhuang飾shi中zhong較jiao有you代dai表biao性xing的de例li子zi之zhi一yi。在zai該gai窟ku窟ku頂ding的de四si披pi邊bian沿yan部bu分fen,畫hua著zhe一yi行xing等deng距ju排pai列lie的de禪chan僧seng,每mei僧seng一yi拱gong形xing小xiao龕kan。為wei了le表biao示shi苦ku修xiu者zhe身shen居ju荒huang山shan僻pi林lin,畫hua工gong們men匠jiang心xin獨du運yun,在zai一yi個ge個ge小xiao龕kan之zhi外wai的de空kong間jian裏li,展zhan開kai了le對dui自zi然ran景jing觀guan的de描miao繪hui,山shan林lin樹shu木mu溪xi流liu,成cheng群qun的de黃huang羊yang,疾ji飛fei的de奔ben鹿lu,野ye豬zhu、野牛、猛虎、狐狸、兔tu子zi等deng出chu沒mei於yu山shan林lin之zhi中zhong的de種zhong種zhong動dong物wu,神shen情qing各ge異yi,生sheng動dong活huo潑po,恍huang如ru進jin入ru了le天tian然ran動dong物wu園yuan,不bu僅jin動dong物wu的de品pin類lei繁fan多duo,不bu同tong動dong物wu的de天tian性xing也ye通tong過guo特te定ding的de姿zi態tai表biao現xian得de淋lin漓li盡jin致zhi,鹿lu的de機ji敏min,虎hu的de威wei猛meng,野ye牛niu的de粗cu暴bao,都dou以yi寥liao寥liao數shu筆bi被bei勾gou勒le出chu來lai。另ling外wai,畫hua工gong們men為wei情qing景jing的de表biao現xian也ye頗po具ju匠jiang心xin,池chi邊bian悠you然ran自zi得de飲yin水shui的de小xiao鹿lu,狂kuang奔ben亂luan跑pao躲duo避bi狩shou獵lie者zhe弓gong箭jian的de野ye牛niu,都dou達da到dao了le很hen高gao的de藝yi術shu水shui準zhun。在zai該gai窟ku南nan壁bi上shang層ceng的de《五百強盜成佛》bihuazhong,youyigeshouliedechangmian,huagongtongguocongshanjianyizhijibendefeidahuangyang,yutaqianxiafangshanjiaoxiayizhanggongdajiandeshouliezhe,yingzaochuyigeqianjunyifadeshengdongchangmian。di249窟四披的壁畫中表現的狩獵場景更加激烈:兩liang個ge騎qi馬ma的de獵lie人ren正zheng全quan神shen貫guan注zhu於yu各ge自zi的de獵lie物wu,前qian麵mian的de獵lie人ren躍yue馬ma回hui身shen,正zheng準zhun備bei射she向xiang身shen後hou猛meng撲pu過guo來lai的de大da虎hu,馬ma匹pi高gao昂ang的de前qian肢zhi與yu猛meng虎hu飛fei揚yang的de後hou腿tui恰qia好hao構gou成cheng一yi倒dao三san角jiao形xing,這zhe種zhong不bu穩wen定ding的de結jie構gou更geng加jia劇ju了le情qing節jie衝chong突tu的de戲xi劇ju性xing,繪hui製zhi者zhe高gao超chao的de表biao現xian力li可ke見jian一yi斑ban。後hou邊bian的de獵lie人ren正zheng跨kua馬ma疾ji馳chi,手shou持chi標biao槍qiang,追zhui逐zhu著zhe一yi群qun飛fei奔ben的de黃huang羊yang,場chang麵mian開kai闊kuo壯zhuang觀guan。畫hua麵mian上shang的de這zhe組zu黃huang羊yang的de處chu理li尤you其qi值zhi得de注zhu意yi,除chu了le造zao型xing洗xi練lian,體ti態tai輕qing捷jie,柔rou和he的de曲qu線xian與yu關guan節jie處chu的de折zhe線xian,恰qia好hao形xing成cheng剛gang與yu柔rou的de對dui比bi效xiao果guo,三san匹pi黃huang羊yang的de後hou肢zhi處chu理li亦yi頗po具ju匠jiang心xin,將jiang本ben該gai是shi六liu條tiao後hou腿tui的de黃huang羊yang相xiang互hu重zhong疊die,隻zhi畫hua出chu前qian麵mian黃huang羊yang的de兩liang條tiao後hou腿tui,這zhe樣yang不bu僅jin避bi免mian另ling外wai的de四si條tiao腿tui可ke能neng帶dai來lai的de畫hua麵mian紊wen亂luan,而er且qie合he情qing合he理li。類lei似si處chu理li手shou法fa在zai漢han代dai畫hua像xiang圖tu案an中zhong也ye有you所suo見jian,應ying該gai說shuo,這zhe種zhong處chu理li方fang法fa是shi對dui傳chuan統tong的de繼ji承cheng與yu發fa展zhan。
莫高窟第285窟ku中zhong作zuo為wei補bu白bai的de裝zhuang飾shi圖tu案an。在zai畫hua中zhong一yi建jian築zhu物wu的de屋wu脊ji上shang,畫hua工gong別bie出chu心xin裁cai地di畫hua了le一yi對dui虎hu視shi眈dan眈dan欲yu相xiang互hu撲pu打da的de公gong雞ji,公gong雞ji的de羽yu毛mao豎shu起qi,引yin頸jing翹qiao尾wei,繪hui飾shi者zhe用yong豪hao放fang的de筆bi墨mo將jiang其qi神shen韻yun表biao現xian得de出chu神shen入ru化hua,儼yan然ran一yi幅fu精jing彩cai的de“鬥雞圖”。
第285窟窟門正上方的另一幅補折圖案“猴戲圖”。在兩座峭立在山石上,各有一隻猴子,一隻蜷退而坐,悠然自得,另一隻正張開四肢向山岩攀搖,整個畫麵充滿了生活的情趣。
馬ma是shi佛fo教jiao裝zhuang飾shi中zhong最zui多duo見jian的de動dong物wu題ti材cai之zhi一yi。在zai交jiao通tong並bing不bu發fa達da的de古gu代dai,馬ma是shi不bu可ke缺que少shao的de交jiao通tong工gong具ju,同tong時shi,馬ma又you是shi古gu代dai征zheng戰zhan中zhong重zhong要yao的de戰zhan鬥dou工gong具ju,因yin此ci馬ma對dui於yu古gu代dai的de人ren們men來lai說shuo,具ju有you特te殊shu的de意yi義yi。在zai佛fo經jing故gu事shi畫hua中zhong少shao不bu了le馬ma,釋shi迦jia半ban夜ye偷tou偷tou出chu城cheng騎qi的de是shi馬ma,大da戰zhan500士shi兵bing騎qi的de是shi馬ma,即ji使shi在zai供gong養yang人ren的de行xing列lie中zhong也ye有you馬ma。早zao在zai佛fo教jiao輸shu入ru中zhong國guo之zhi前qian,馬ma就jiu是shi中zhong國guo裝zhuang飾shi藝yi術shu中zhong的de一yi項xiang重zhong要yao題ti材cai,且qie精jing品pin之zhi作zuo不bu勝sheng枚mei舉ju,尤you其qi在zai漢han公gong畫hua像xiang石shi中zhong,各ge種zhong造zao型xing、種zhong種zhong風feng格ge的de馬ma豐feng富fu多duo彩cai,藝yi術shu表biao現xian也ye爐lu火huo純chun青qing。在zai佛fo教jiao裝zhuang飾shi中zhong大da量liang出chu現xian的de馬ma正zheng是shi對dui傳chuan統tong的de繼ji承cheng和he發fa展zhan,莫mo高gao窟ku壁bi畫hua中zhong的de馬ma不bu同tong於yu漢han畫hua之zhi處chu,就jiu在zai於yu其qi特te有you的de筆bi意yi效xiao果guo,畫hua工gong以yi灑sa脫tuo流liu利li的de筆bi法fa表biao現xian出chu馬ma的de各ge種zhong姿zi態tai,更geng富fu於yu生sheng活huo情qing趣qu和he藝yi術shu魅mei力li。早zao期qi石shi窟ku中zhong馬ma的de造zao型xing多duo豪hao放fang簡jian約yue,如ru莫mo高gao窟ku第di428窟東壁南側“薩埵本生”故事壁畫中的這幅“馳馬還宮”圖,豐滿健壯的馬匹淩空躍起,盡管用筆不多卻有較強的體積感。再如第390窟(ku)中(zhong)民(min)柱(zhu)西(xi)龕(kan)下(xia)供(gong)養(yang)人(ren)行(xing)列(lie)中(zhong)的(de)這(zhe)幅(fu)作(zuo)品(pin),一(yi)馴(xun)馬(ma)者(zhe)一(yi)手(shou)持(chi)韁(jiang),一(yi)手(shou)揚(yang)鞭(bian),赭(zhe)紅(hong)色(se)的(de)高(gao)頭(tou)大(da)馬(ma)低(di)頭(tou)扭(niu)頸(jing),一(yi)前(qian)腿(tui)提(ti)起(qi),後(hou)腿(tui)作(zuo)退(tui)縮(suo)狀(zhuang),馬(ma)的(de)那(na)種(zhong)又(you)怕(pa)又(you)強(jiang)的(de)神(shen)情(qing),寥(liao)寥(liao)數(shu)筆(bi)便(bian)活(huo)靈(ling)活(huo)現(xian)地(di)表(biao)現(xian)了(le)出(chu)來(lai)。從(cong)以(yi)上(shang)兩(liang)例(li)中(zhong)都(dou)可(ke)以(yi)看(kan)到(dao)筆(bi)墨(mo)意(yi)趣(qu)所(suo)起(qi)到(dao)的(de)獨(du)特(te)藝(yi)術(shu)效(xiao)果(guo)。唐(tang)代(dai)壁(bi)畫(hua)中(zhong)的(de)馬(ma)則(ze)比(bi)較(jiao)工(gong)整(zheng)嚴(yan)謹(jin),對(dui)細(xi)部(bu)結(jie)構(gou)的(de)處(chu)理(li)也(ye)頗(po)為(wei)精(jing)心(xin),如(ru)莫(mo)高(gao)窟(ku)第(di)209窟窟頂兩披北側的釋邊“夜半逾城”中zhong的de馬ma。結jie構gou嚴yan謹jin,僅jin馬ma的de頭tou部bu輪lun廓kuo就jiu可ke以yi看kan出chu畫hua對dui細xi部bu結jie構gou變bian化hua的de關guan注zhu,馬ma頸jing後hou的de鬃zong毛mao也ye被bei一yi根gen根gen地di畫hua出chu,唐tang代dai石shi窟ku中zhong的de馬ma紋wen裝zhuang飾shi由you此ci可ke見jian一yi斑ban。在zai雲yun岡gang石shi窟ku中zhong也ye有you許xu多duo精jing彩cai的de動dong物wu裝zhuang飾shi,由you於yu雲yun岡gang石shi窟ku的de裝zhuang飾shi主zhu要yao是shi以yi浮fu雕diao的de手shou法fa,因yin此ci有you不bu同tong於yu莫mo高gao窟ku彩cai繪hui壁bi畫hua的de藝yi術shu特te色se,渾hun厚hou、質樸、粗(cu)放(fang),有(you)許(xu)多(duo)漢(han)畫(hua)像(xiang)石(shi)中(zhong)所(suo)特(te)有(you)的(de)美(mei)感(gan)。同(tong)時(shi),由(you)於(yu)許(xu)多(duo)動(dong)物(wu)裝(zhuang)飾(shi)采(cai)取(qu)的(de)是(shi)高(gao)浮(fu)雕(diao)的(de)手(shou)法(fa),更(geng)具(ju)立(li)體(ti)感(gan)和(he)真(zhen)實(shi)感(gan),加(jia)上(shang)後(hou)人(ren)的(de)浮(fu)雕(diao)上(shang)又(you)施(shi)以(yi)彩(cai)繪(hui),使(shi)裝(zhuang)飾(shi)的(de)效(xiao)果(guo)更(geng)為(wei)華(hua)麗(li)。如(ru)第(di)10窟後室窟門上方刻著幾層一字排開的須彌山,山與山之間是一排神態安祥的坐佛,山腰處有兩龍盤繞,山中雕有許多動物,有豬、狼、鹿、猿、虎、鳥等,它們動態各異,具有很強的裝飾性,表現出現出與莫高窟第285窟窟頂四披邊沿動物裝飾相類似的趣味,隻是多了幾分古樸和雄偉,有著明顯的漢魏遺風。另外,在第15kuxibixiaokandeshangbuyouyihengtiaozhuangshipodingqingqu,zhongjianweiduishi,liangceweishuiniaoyouyu,bingjianyoushuizaoleideshuishengzhiwu,yangyizhehuankuaideshenghuoqingtiao,zhezaizaoqifojiaozhuangshizhongshibuduojiande。
zaitangdaishikuzhuangshizhong,dongwuticaidezhuangshimingxianjianshao,fenggeyemingxianchengxianchulebutongyubeichaodeqingxiang。zaoxingjiangjiuxieshihuali,xingxiangquxiangfengmanyuanrun。ticaishangyeduoyiyuanyang、仙鶴、孔雀、鸚鵡等禽鳥為主,表現出雍容悠閑的情趣,這與唐代裝飾藝術的整體風貌相一致。譬如,莫高窟第331窟南壁的經變圖中,蓮池蕩漾,禽鳥浮遊,鴛鴦、鴨子都表現得非常生動。第217窟北壁經變圖中的仙鶴、孔雀、鸚(ying)鵡(wu)和(he)鴛(yuan)鴦(yang)也(ye)都(dou)畫(hua)得(de)精(jing)致(zhi)寫(xie)實(shi),就(jiu)連(lian)動(dong)物(wu)的(de)羽(yu)毛(mao)也(ye)畫(hua)得(de)細(xi)密(mi)起(qi)來(lai)。若(ruo)將(jiang)其(qi)與(yu)早(zao)期(qi)石(shi)窟(ku)中(zhong)的(de)禽(qin)鳥(niao)形(xing)象(xiang)比(bi)較(jiao),不(bu)難(nan)發(fa)現(xian)兩(liang)者(zhe)的(de)差(cha)異(yi)是(shi)很(hen)大(da)的(de)。北(bei)魏(wei)、西魏石窟中的禽鳥造型誇張簡潔,如第288窟人字披圖案中的長尾鳥,第285窟龕楣中的山雞等,而唐代石窟中的這些禽鳥造型則傾向於繁麗一寫出實,時代特色一目了然。
zaisuitangzhihoudefojiaozhuangshizhong,fengwenyeshipojutesedeticai,jinguanfengwenzuoweizhuangshizaozaifojiaozhuangshixingqichuqijiuyiyouzhi,dandangshidefengwenzaoxingbingweiwanquandingxinghua,yuqitadechangweiqinniaohenrongyihunxiao,shenzhiyoudeshuzhongyoubajinchiniaowuguirufengwendexianxiang,suitangyihou,youqishitangyihou,fengchengweishisugongyimeishupinzhongzuizhongyaodezhuangshiticaizhiyi,bingyingxiangdaodangshidefojiaozhuangshi,fulihuameidefengyixingxiangzaicijibendingxing。fengqubieyuyibanniaoleidezhuyaotezhengzaiyuweibudezaoxing,tangdaifengdeweiyuyimingxianbaituolekongqueweiyudetezheng,lixianghuachengfenshifenmingxian,womenzaimogaokutangdaifengwenzhong,keyikandaoyuxiangyunjuancaoyiquyizhidefengweizaoxing。songdaidefengwenzaozebiandeqingshouqilai,danzhezhongqingshoubutongyuzaoqifojiaozhuangshizhongsuozhuiqiudeqingqu,ershifeichangqiangtiaoxijiedebiaoxian。rumogaokudi61窟宋代邊飾中的鳳銜綬帶紋、第367窟ku宋song代dai藻zao井jing中zhong央yang的de飛fei鳳feng紋wen以yi及ji雕diao於yu少shao林lin寺si初chu祖zu庵an殿dian內nei柱zhu背bei麵mian的de宋song代dai雙shuang鳳feng紋wen,都dou體ti現xian出chu了le對dui細xi部bu刻ke畫hua的de精jing心xin,而er且qie並bing不bu因yin為wei細xi部bu的de關guan注zhu而er喪sang失shi鳳feng飄piao然ran的de神shen韻yun。這zhe在zai佛fo教jiao裝zhuang飾shi藝yi術shu大da勢shi已yi去qu的de時shi代dai實shi屬shu難nan得de,也ye許xu正zheng因yin為wei鳳feng一yi直zhi是shi中zhong國guo人ren所suo喜xi愛ai的de理li想xiang祥xiang禽qin緣yuan故gu,佛fo教jiao的de衰shuai落luo才cai沒mei有you對dui其qi產chan生sheng太tai大da的de影ying響xiang吧ba,這zhe一yi點dian我wo們men在zai宋song、元、明、清的世俗工藝圖案中可以得到驗證。
在浩瀚的中國古代佛教裝飾中,還有數不盡、道不完的內容,許多沒術述及的石窟寺院中也都保存著大量的裝飾圖案。
